Off-Ice; Dance


Brooke Mainland is originally from Wisconsin where she began her formal dance training. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a Business minor, from The University of Arizona. Upon graduating, she apprenticed with Thodos Dance Chicago, where she trained with many artists in the area including Hubbard Street, Visceral, and River North dance companies. Since Fall of 2016, Brooke has been a professional dancer with Eisenhower Dance Detroit, where she has performed at the NYC Lincoln Center, Tel Aviv Opera House in Israel, as well as the Detroit Opera House and various theaters around Michigan and the U.S. with the company.

Brooke has trained competitive dancers, professional student companies who performed at the Detroit Opera House, students in Italy and Israel, and at Universities in the U.S. with Eisenhower Dance Detroit. In the last few years, she has become certified in GYROKINESIS® and is continuously training and teaching STOTT Pilates. She focuses on proper body alignment and kinesiology in her dance classes, and enjoys taking her vast knowledge of different training methods to help skaters become stronger and more graceful on the ice. Brooke strives to provide a secure environment where students can be free to express themselves and find dance as a second language.
