Aine Dorman was born and raised in San Francisco where she began her professional dance training at the San Francisco Ballet School. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences. She then completed postgraduate studies with Hubbard Street in Chicago. Throughout her training she has performed works by Lar Lubovitch, Robyn Mineko Williams, Rena Butler, and Peter Chu, among others. She has also had the opportunity to train with artists including Bobbi Jene Smith, Johannes Wieland, Gilbert Small, and Robin Dekkers. Ms. Dorman has supplemented her dance training with workshops including b12 (Berlin, Germany), BODYTRAFFIC, and Post:Ballet. In February 2022, she performed as a dance soloist with the Detroit Opera. Ms. Dorman joined Eisenhower Dance Detroit as a Company Apprentice in 2021 and as a teaching artist at the School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit. As a multifaceted athlete, she loves to work with students on their dance technique and artistry, and especially loves working with ice skaters in this field.
